Please plan for approximately 2 hours on Day One, 2-3 hours on Day Two, and 4-6 hours on Days Three and Four. Patients must arrange for reliable assisted transportation and stay within 15-20 minutes of the center for your comfort and safety. Staying locally overnight for each night you are under our care ensures adequate rest and allows you to be close to the center for any medical support or assistance you may need during your recovery.
In some cases, depending on medical history, we may be able to perform the procedure in 2 days, but this is not common. Abortions after 20 weeks are often inaccurately referred to as “late-term abortion” which is a corruption of “late trimester abortion” or “later abortion”. “Late-term abortion” is commonly used in the news media but does not refer to a specific procedure.
